Family-Friendly Easter Arts, Crafts, & Activities
Jellybean Guessing Games
Have fun with the most iconic candy of the season! Fill a jar with jellybeans and have each family member guess how many there are. The person who guesses correctly or the closest without going over wins them all. You can also buy fancy jellybeans and have everybody guess the correct flavor.
Egg and Spoon Race
Dating back to the late 1800s, the egg and spoon race is a great outdoor family activity, especially around Easter. For less mess, boil the eggs first (or you can even use the plastic Easter eggs your children found). Then give each person a spoon and race individually or relay-style.
Plant Flowers
Easter the perfect time to plant flowers, indoors or out. You could also go for an earth-conscious spin and plant trees. In fact, City of West Palm Beach residents or businesses can get up to four free trees on Saturday, April 16 from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at Art, Dine, and Design in Northwood Village as part of West Palm Beach’s goal to plant 10,000 trees by 2025.
Build Peeps Houses
Peeps are great for more than just eating – they’re ideal for building the Easter version of a gingerbread house! Alongside the iconic marshmallow candy, you can use graham crackers, jellybeans, leftover Easter candy, and frosting to glue it all together into a cute building.
Decorate an Easter Egg Tree
Another unique way to celebrate Easter is by decorating an Easter egg tree with plastic Easter eggs and other pastel decorations. With Palm Beach County’s warm weather year-round, you can choose an outdoor tree rather than bringing one inside.
Give a Gift Basket
Teach your children the joy of giving by making a gift basket for an elderly neighbor or relative. Let your kids help you decide what to put in the basket. They can even write notes to put in plastic eggs saying things like, “Sweetest neighbor ever” or “You’re egg-cellent”!
