Why All Kids Should Take Swimming Lessons

Why Your Kid Should Take Swimming Lessons

Did you know that drowning is the leading cause of injury-related death among children ages 1-4 years old? Drowning isn’t only a risk for children, however. It’s the third leading cause of unintentional injury death, accounting for 7% of all injury-related deaths worldwide.

While even good swimmers can drown in certain situations (such as being caught in a riptide), knowing how to swim significantly reduces your child’s chances of drowning.
